How to update the hosts.ini file - nat32support - 09-01-2014

NAT32's DNS Resolver Daemon consults a text file (hosts.txt) containing names of sites to block. The latest version of the recommended hosts.txt file is available here. Unzip it to your NAT32 directory and then complete the following steps:
  1. Erase your existing hosts.ini file
  2. Run NAT32
NAT32 will then strip the hosts.txt file of unneeded information and save the output as hosts.ini. In addition, an index will be generated so that subsequent lookups will be very fast.

The next time NAT32 runs, it will load (and index) the hosts.ini file rather than the much larger host.txt file. The hosts.txt file can then be erased to conserve disk space.
