About NAT32

NAT32 is a WIN32 application with the following capabilities:

Installation

NAT32 can (optionally) be installed by running the program setup.exe. The program makes only minimal changes to your system registry and invokes the Windows Control Panel Network applet to allow you to install the NDIS3PKT Driver.

Note that on Windows 9X and NT4 systems, setup.exe clears the IP Header Compression option for all Dial-Up Networking connections present on your system at the time. If you later add new DUN Connections, be sure to clear their IP Header Compression option too.

Running NAT32

After you have rebooted your Windows Operating System, NAT32 can be started by clicking:

Start/Programs/NAT32/Configure
Full details on NAT32 configuration and command-line arguments can be found here.

Background

NAT32 has its origins in a PC port of Douglas Comer's Xinu Operating System. A product called NAT95 for PC-compatible systems was published in late 1994. It was one of the first NAT-capable IP Routers ever to be released. Microsoft Corporation embraced the NAT technique many years later (April 23, 1999) in Windows 98SE, calling it Internet Connection Sharing.

NAT32 is documented in a series of web pages and at the web site: www.nat32.com.

NAT32 is Shareware and can be registered online.

NAT32 does not require registration if you run it without the NDIS3PKT driver installed.

Email Support

Because the original NAT32 Support email address is well known to spammers around the world, it will change on January 1, 2008 (and at random intervals thereafter). You can always obtain support by clicking here.
