Reference Manualdunsrv - interact with the Windows DUN or RAS ServerSYNOPSIS
dunsrv ifn|off device [title]DESCRIPTION
If NAT32 was bound to a Dial-Up Networking interface ifn at startup, the dunsrv command can be used to turn the DUN Server on or off for interface ifn.NOTES for 95/98 PlatformsIf multiple modems or ISDN adapters are installed, the integer argument device specifies which device shown in the DUN Server Dialog Box is to be used.
If a National Language other than English is in use, argument title specifies the title of the DUN Server Dialog Box. Note that if the title contains spaces, argument title must be enclosed in double quotes.
NAT32 supports the Windows 95/98 DUN Server in a fixed-configuration mode on the Dial-Up Networking Adapter. Dynamic configuration of the DUN Server is not supported by those operating systems.NOTES for NT PlatformsTo configure the DUN Server for 95/98, open the Control Panel Network applet, select the Dial-Up Networking Adapter and then select Advanced. Set the Property Enable Point To Point IP to No. Click OK.
Now select the Microsoft TCP/IP Protocol bound to that Dial-Up Networking Adapter. The protocol must be configured with a Class B private address as in the following example:
IP address: 172.16.1.252Now reboot Windows 95/98.
Subnet Mask: 255.255.0.0
Gateway: no gatewayStart the DUN Server, and in the Dial-Up Server dialog box, be sure that the Server Type setting is Default and that the Require encrypted password checkbox is cleared. Be sure to configure a strong password.
NAT32 supports the Windows NT RAS Server in either the fixed or dynamic configuration mode. The fixed configuration mode is recommended, and the same IP address and Subnet Mask as in the above section should be used. Note also that no gateway should be specified.SEE ALSOWindows NT must be configured to support one or more dial-in adapters, and NAT32 must be bound to each of those adapters when it is started. The dunsrv command ifn argument then specifies which of those NAT32 dial-in interfaces is to be used.
The dunsrv command starts the program rasadmin.exe, which requires privilege.
The program rasadmin.exe is not available on platforms which have RRAS installed. If you need to use NAT32 in DUN Server mode, please remove RRAS and install RAS as explained here.
