NOTESCommand mstcp enables the NDIS3PKT Intermediate Mode on the specified interface ifn. In Intermediate Mode, NDIS3PKT intercepts all Windows TCP/IP traffic and will either block or allow it.
If the traffic is allowed, one special case is currently processed: TCP port 1723 SYN segments arriving from the network adapter invoke the connect action if an amap entry exists, and port 1723 FIN segments arriving from the network adapter invoke the disconnect action for the entry.
Argument off turns off Intermediate Mode for the specified interface.
When Intermediate Mode is on, the NAT32 Trace window has its MSTCP checkbox enabled and all Windows TCP/IP traffic can then be traced.
Version 3.3 (or later) of the NDIS3PKT driver is required.SEE ALSONAT32 Build 1050 (and later) supports Intermediate Mode on all configured interfaces.
Traffic blocking in Intermediate Mode applies only to traffic actually sent or received on a physical interface. Local traffic is not affected, as such traffic never reaches the actual adapter.
The Intermediate Mode is required for the correct operation of the Host Transfer Mode.
