NAME
wtrace - Interact with the Network Trace mechanism
SYNOPSIS
wtrace [open|close|on|off|allow|block|clear|save|mark|mstcp|MSTCP]DESCRIPTION
NOTESThe Trace window displays network traffic in real time. The window can be opened with argument open, or closed with argument close.
When the trace window is open, the following arguments are valid:
Argument off turns tracing off; argument on turns tracing on.
Argument block immediately blocks all NAT32 traffic; argument allow immediately restores traffic flow.
Argument clear clears the trace window; argument save writes the contents of the window to file trace.txt.
Argument mark writes a numbered checkpoint message to the trace window.
If an MSTCP thread is running, argument Mstcp turns on the display of traffic to and from the host's TCP/IP stack, while argument mstcp turns off the display of such traffic.
A sample trace window is shown below:SEE ALSO

The meaning of each field in the trace output is documented in the Help dialog box.
Because the trace output is displayed in real time, network throughput will be greatly reduced while the trace window is open. Tracing should therefore be used sparingly, and is primarily intended for network debugging.
