NAME

wnet - interact with Windows Networking
SYNOPSIS
wnet | wnets [c | d | ea | ec | en]

DESCRIPTION
The wnet command displays a list of computers that Windows has detected on attached networks.
Argument c displays the Map Network Drive dialog box that allows connections to be made.
Argument d displays the Disconnect Network Drive dialog box that allows network drives to be disconnected.
Both of the above options are only valid on the local machine.

The other arguments call the Windows WNetEnumResource function to enumerate all resources (ea), connected resources (ec) or the network neighborhood (en). In all cases, results are displayed as links that allow further navigation.

Command wnets is a silent version of wnet. It updates the HOST table and the NETHOOD table and produces no other output.

NOTES
The enumerations can take several seconds to complete.

Some computers no longer support the SMB V1 protocol and will therefore not discover and display all SMB hosts in the Explorer. The wnet, hosts or nethood commands can be used to provide similar functionality.

The above features require Internet Explorer 11. The nat32.box site must be added to IE11's Trusted Sites list.
